These are the children of Idomeni. Children who have lived through a war, have crossed seas in inflatable boats , have walked hundreds of kilometres, and have gone cold, hunger and thirst. All to find a better future away from the bombs. Until they have come to this small town to the North of Greece, on the border with Macedonia. So close already to their destination in Europe, and at the same time more far than ever. Because the European Union does not want a better future for them, and is building walls to his feet and wrapped them in tear gas.
None of these children had time to be guilty of anything. None of the thousands of tears shed in Idomeni was necessary. And there they are, showing us that our society is not as advanced as we think. A society with the feet of clay.
